The Simpson's have reworked their yellow magic on Ellen's Twitter crushing Oscar selfie, but some members of the famous family fared better than others.

While Bart's instantly recognisable crown of hair can be seen poking up next to Meryl Streep, Homer is being viciously trampled out of the shot by Bradley Cooper's slick black loafer.

This version of the sensational selfie was posted by Simpsons creator Matt Groening through Homer J. Simpson's personal Twitter account. The accompanying tweet read;

The ugly true story of that Oscar selfie can finally be told! Let's break Twitter again. Look for Bart.

It doesn't take much of a stretch of the imagination to realize that Homer's peril might have been inspired by the shots that have emerged of Liza Minnelli trying to get in on the uber-selfie action.

The vertically challenged actress' game attempts to be noticed were thwarted by her much taller peers. Oh Liza, Liza! As a fellow short-ass I have a couple of tips for you. Next time remember, a chair is always a perfect height-enhancing prop and you must never wear flats at an event riddled with A-list distraction to avoid being accidentally trodden on!

I am absolutely loving the Simpson selfie, but I am a little sad it doesn't contain everybody's favorite domestic glamour puss. Marge could have owned those basic bitches with her sumptuous plume of blue hair, and she's tall enough to stand up and be noticed.

Have you guys spotted any other takes on the selfie-to-own-all-selfies that made you giggle? Share the love below!

I will leave you with one of my personal favorites for inspiration. Spacey domination!

Don't you think he looks great with Julia Robert's luscious locks?
