ComicBookMovie have informed us that Sony Pictures have provided the Daily Mail with a new Amazing Spider-Man 2 featurette. It is comprised of a short patchwork of snippets showing Gwen Stacy and Peter Parker's relationship, as well as interviews with Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield.

The marketing team for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 seem to be extremely eager in offering up vast amounts of promotional treats which may work two ways. This type of strategy could either:

1) Entice the audience

or alternatively

2) Make them feel like they have already seen it and thus won't want to pay for a ticket.

Already, we have been gifted with a barrage of: trailers, posters, stills and featurettes, and waiting in the wings are even more official clips, posters, TV spots, featurettes and behind-the-scenes (B-Roll) footage.

It begs the question of whether or not Sony should hold back on the promo material for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in order to preserve a little mystery for when we finally get to watch the film in two months time, and avoid that feeling of déjà vu.
