On Monday evening, Quentin Tarantino- the eccentric director with a penchant for violence- assumed the throne of an 'Enchanted World' themed Mardi Gras float in New Orleans. Draped in a row of pearls which were layered with a colorful mask, the director's float was the first of 27 in the parade; where he greeted his fans with a regal wave, and a less regal thumbs up.
Below you can see the gaudy albeit incredibly fun-looking picture which captures the giant director, sitting aptly in a 'giant crown as the Krewe of Orpheus's Celebrity Monarch' (via the Daily Mail).
Historically, the throne has been graced with: Hilary Swank, Sandra Bullock, Glenn Close, Stevie Wonder, Whoopi Goldberg, Forrest Whitaker and James Brown.
It seems that Tarantino proved himself to be a very worthy heir to the party throne.
