It looks like Robert Pattinson is really leaving his adolescent vampire days far behind him. He's now due to appear in the new James Dean biopic, Life, beside Dane DeHaan.

Pattinson is down to play Dennis Stock, a photographer who accompanied Dean on many of his journeys. Entertainment Weekly recently got their hands on the first photo of DeHaan and Pattinson in their roles. Take a look below:

So far Anton Corbijn seems happy with the films progress, especially in how the pair have fallen into their roles. He explained:

Rob has an intensity that I think Dennis would have. When I see Rob, I see an inner turmoil that is great for the role. And Dane is really interesting. He has a beautiful face, but it’s a hard face to grasp. It’s hard to see how Dane reads sometimes, and the same thing goes for James Dean.
