CW's Supernatural spin-off show has found its female lead: just don't approach her during a full moon.
Melissa Roxburgh has joined the spooky show as Violet, "a werewolf with forbidden love for a family rival."
The spin-off was originally titled Supernatural: Tribes but will now be called Supernatural: Bloodlines and will get a backdoor pilot on the April 29th episode of Supernatural.
Here's the synopsis:
Bloodlines is a sweeping drama about the various mafia-esque monster families that unknowingly to humans 'run' the underbelly of Chicago and who are being tracked by a newly minted Hunter who is trying to stop them and rid Chicago of anything or anyone supernatural.
Sounds like a fairly decent premise, although kinda similar to the setup for vampire show The Originals.
I'm a fan of Supernatural, but that might be more to do with the charisma of the two male leads than anything else. It will be interesting to see if Bloodlines can achieve the same degree of success.
