Young unknowns in the mix...i'm ready!
Via: The Wrap
According to The Wrap -
"20th Century Fox and director Josh Trank have narrowed down their villain search to four rising stars with accents"
All four actors are around the ages of 30-40 years old, there was additional news that actor Jack Huston, was rumored to be Dr. Doom which was cleared up to be false information.
The Wrap countinues by stating that -
One of them is expected to antagonize superheroes Mr. Fantastic (Miles Teller), the Human Torch (Michael B. Jordan), the Invisible Woman (Kate Mara) and the Thing (Jamie Bell).
I'm intrigued....I really am because there's nothing about this film that upsets me! I enjoy all these surprises, this is what I expect from a reboot or re-imagining of a film that has failed THREE TIMES! So, why not try something different? As long as the writing is good then hell, the movie should be good too?!
I already know that i'm going to get the same old repetitive complaints in the comments section, whatever. If you're an open minded individual that doesn't follow this whole bandwagon of angry fans then that's great! We haven't read the script, we don't know the actors personally nor the director or producer and we don't know Stan Lee like that to even assume that he's angry about this film.
The four actors:
Sam Riley -
Sam Riley, an English actor actor and singer best known for his performance in the 2007 biographical film Control. Standing at 6ft 1inches at the age of 34, Mr. Riley does have the looks for the role as a young Victor, but does he have the acting capabilities? I think...yes, he is already being prepared to star alongside actress Angelina Jolie in Maleficent. Little from what I know about Sam Riley through trailers I've watched - he certainly has a lot energy and charisma!
Eddie Redmayne -
Won the 2010 Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role and the 2010 Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Play for his performance in the West End and Broadway production of the drama play Red. He also received the 2011 Critics' Circle Theatre Award for Best Shakespearean Performance for his portrayal of Richard II at London's Donmar Warehouse. In 2012, Redmayne co-starred as Marius Pontmercy in the musical film Les Miserables.
That's a very impressive résumé! Also, Eddie attended Trinity College, Cambridge, where he studied History of Art, while both of his parents encouraged him at a very young age to take drama lessons, nice!
Trinity College, Cambridge is listed as a top tier school - (CLICK HERE)
Eddie Redmayne in Les Miserables...such raw-emotional acting -
Toby Kebbell -
Every. Single. Time that I look at this actor I think of Nigel Terry from Excalibur (1981)! Nigel, I mean Toby Kebell is another promising ENGLISH, actor! Playing in movies like War Horse, Prince of Persia, Wrath of The Titans, Control, RocknRolla and he's signed to be in the future film World Of Warcraft - Warcraft (2016).
Toby's best performance in my opinion would be in RocknRolla starring Gerard Butler, directed by Guy Ritchie!
Domhnall Gleeson -
It's about time that I see him away from the Harry Potter, spotlight! Domhnall is the only Irish actor and writer on the list, congrats dude!
Gleeson's work on-screen includes the television series The Last Furlong, the comedy sketch show Your Bad Self and the films Six Shooter, Studs and Boy Eats Girl. He played Bill Weasley in the films Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 and Part 2, released in 2010/2011. He is the son of actor Brendan Gleeson, who plays Alastor Moody in the series.
I honestly don't know much about the actor outside of Harry Potter, this isn't a bad thing, I just don't follow him as much as other actors. The cool thing about him and all three actors is that he's tall, providing a menacing-presence on the big screen!
Domhnall Gleeson in About Time, pretty funny trailer -
Given the chance to learn more about all four actors, what do you think about any one of them playing Dr. Doom?
Fantastic Four hits theaters on June 2015!
