Sources have told Variety that Edward Speleers of Downton Abbey, John Boyega from Attack the Block, Jesse Plemons best known from Breaking Bad, and the theatrical actors Matthew James Thomas and Ray Fisher are up for the part of an un-named main character for Star Wars: Episode VII.

It still seems like all news on the upcoming Disney adaptation and continuation of the Star Wars franchise is under wraps besides Adam Driver most likely playing the part as the movie's villain. Filming is scheduled to start this summer.

Michael Arndt’s first draft of the script was rumored to focus on Han Solo and Princess Leia’s children, however J.J. Abrams and Lawrence Kasdan’s revision supposedly places the offspring in a more peripheral role, so they can then “surround the less-familiar actor with more recognizable stars for supporting parts,” such as classic Star Wars actors Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford.

Star Wars: Episode VII is set to hit theaters December 18th, 2015.
