If you thought 2015 was a big year for movies, just wait until the most epic box office showdown ever on May 6, 2016. Batman Vs. Superman already moved a year forward as to avoid going against [The Avengers: Age Of Ultron](movie:293035). But Warner Bros. knew that they'd still be going against a Marvel movie the following year. THR is now reporting that the movie [Batman vs. Superman](movie:711870) will go against [Captain America 3](movie:994409).

Disney has yet to confirm whether this is actually the case, but it would make sense. Directors Anthony and Joe Russo are currently developing the story for the third standalone film in the franchise. Likewise, the buzz behind Cap's third outing is so high that it would make sense for Marvel to fast track the sequel.

I'm afraid that Warner Bros. is most likely going to move Batman Vs. Superman to a different weekend because, in all honesty, in my gut I think Marvel has this battle in the bag. That being said, if both movies do in fact go against one another, it will be the most epic box office weekend ever.
