The producer of hit horror movie The Ring has optioned the best-selling crime novel on Amazon. The book is called Corrosion, and Jack Reher, the writer of the upcoming Billy Bob Thornton movie Endangered, has been appointed to adapt it.

The plot turns on what happens when a battle hardened soldier trudges through the fading towns on rural Colorado in an attempt to find a certain woman. The soldier is an unreliable character - and it is soon unclear whether he is seeking his loved one, his next victim, or both.

Production will start in the summer. But what do you think? Does this sound like a interesting premise? Have you read the book? And what sort of Corrosion do you think the title refers to?
