Common sense has been violently trodden into the ground, and the mess left on the bottom of the producer's shoes has once again been paired with giant, campy sea creatures.

After 2006's unexpected hit - the Samuel L. Jackson-starring Snakes on a Plane - trashy movies involving comically deadly creatures have been flooding in thick and fast. Having gotten Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus and Mega Shark vs. Crocosaurus out of the way and with Sharknado 2: The Second One hitting theaters this year, we are now facing something bigger, better, and perhaps with even more...bite. (Sorry.)

THR is reporting on Syfy's plans for the future and have revealed that we might all be faced with not one, not two, but a torrent of Sharknado movies for YEARS TO COME!! Syfy president Dave Howe reported said that a Sharknado movie is on the cards EVERY year!

Howe says he plans to cut back on campy telepics from the 20 to 24 that Syfy now airs each year (though he admits Sharknado likely will remain an annual event).

More awful production values, more silly one-liners, and the great mockery of it all on the internet. Is this news so bad, it's good? Or just bad?

As long as Syfy decides to implement lasers at any point in the future of their Sharknado franchise, then I'm happy. What about you?

Don't forget - Sharknado 2: The Second One storms into theaters July, 2014.
