Sadly, Marc Webb will be done directing the Spider-Man franchise after [The Amazing Spider-Man 3](movie:671279). During an interview with the Daily Beast Webb revealed that the third film will be his last.

"I've had so much fun doing it, but after the third movie, it'll be the time to find something else." - Webb

He may be done directing, but he's not done with the franchise all together. He said that he would like to stay on as a consultant. Seeing how he's already had a big hand in molding the universe so far, I don't think that's such a bad idea. I was skeptical about the Spider-Man reboot, considering that they did it only five years after the original trilogy ended. But I couldn't have been happier with what Webb did for the franchise. He brought it back to the comics which a lot of people enjoyed, including myself.

Webb was also asked if he would like to see the wall-crawler meet up with any other characters in the Marvel universe . He had this to say:

We're building out a more complicated Spider-Man universe with characters people haven't seen in other Spider-Man movies, The Sinister Six, Venom, and more. We'd all love to overlap with other studios, but that's beyond my pay grade."

I don't know about you guys but I'll be sad to Webb go. Let me know what think. Also this is my first post so let me know how I did, thanks.
