The one thing which strikes me watching the CW television network is that all the world is young and beautiful...and violent and horny! The main characters in the scripted shows are under 30 (in appearance if not reality), virile, violent, and have sex at the drop of a hat...or dress.
The highly promoted Reign, the story of Mary, Queen of Scots also holds the distinction of warping history more than most television shows. The show started off with Mary arriving in France to marry the son of the French king to unite the political union of Scotland and France. At the time of her arrival at the beginning of the first episode, Mary was supposed to be in her teens or early twenties. The historical Mary arrived in France for the same purpose, but she arrived when she was five years old. She lived in the French court, getting to grow up with the Dauphin and being of age when they married and had sex for the first time.
Of course, if the story stayed true to history, it would not attract viewers on the CW or any other network.
But, I digress. My main point is that if you look at any of the shows on the CW ( [The Vampire Diaries](series:200853), The Originals, The 100, etc.), you will see the same basic thing---good looking pseudo-teenagers with a preference for sex and violence in every episode.
