Last weekend [Mr. Peabody & Sherman](movie:12922) rose to the first spot with $21.8 million, taking the top spot from the winner the weekend before [300: Rise of an Empire](movie:43660) that came in second with $19.2 million. New comer Need for Speed placed on third with $17.8 million and Liam Neeson's [Non-Stop](movie:214412) on fourth with $10.6 million. The Single Moms Club (a movie by Tyler Perry and I didn't know but should have known since it looked awful) came on fifth on it's debut weekend with $8 million. Lastly I want to talk about two movies, first [Veronica Mars](movie:891958), it is losing money and everyone could have seen that, they didn't even break half way of the production budget and even with their previous help of fans (who are the only ones going to see the movie) won't help it. Now Frozen is still on the top 10 placing on 9th with $2.1 (more than Veronica Mars) on it's 17th week on theaters, that is amazing, it also joined the $1 billion club!
This upcoming weekend we have two movies coming out [Divergent](movie:593270) and [Muppets Most Wanted](movie:368772). I was still iffy on Divergent sometimes I wanna see it sometimes I don't but now looking at it's rotten score (14%) most likely won't and maaaaaybe the YA trend will end, which kind of sucks for the sequel... So my prediction for next week will be: 1. Muppets Most Wanted 2. Divergent 3. 300: Rise of an Empire 4. Mr. Peabody & Sherman 5. [Need For Speed](movie:454951) Need For Speed.
