Despite the movie being postponed by a year due to the desire to give “filmmakers time to realize fully their vision, given the complex visual nature of the story,” and recent reports from the actor playing #Batfleck's butler Alfred saying that the script isn't even finished yet, reports are in that filming will start mid-May and will include a familiar set location from the first [Man of Steel](movie:15593) movie.
[Batman vs. Superman](movie:711870) is tentatively scheduled to film just outside of Yorkville on Route 126 in mid-May, according to a source from the Chicago Tribune. Filming was originally supposed to take place in the Yorkville area, the sight of Clark Kent’s Smallville farm house in 2013’s “Man of Steel” in February, but when the sequel's release date was delayed, the farm house scene was delayed as well.
The farm house that was built for the first movie was torn down after filming, however it was reconstructed on the same plot of land late last year for the sequel. The sequel is said to only be interested in the Yorkville area this time and will shoot the majority of the film in Michigan, however with Man of Steel 2, the plans can always change drastically as we've seen with all the other news from the movie. The film is even rumored to be changing it's release date again!
The film is scheduled to hit theaters May 6, 2016.
