The latest international trailer for Gareth Edward's Godzilla reboot has just landed. Looks pretty sweet huh? Take a look at the 1:19 mark. 'What the hell is that thing' I hear you ask.

Well it could be a number of things. It might turn out that it's actually [Godzilla](movie:45291) doing the flying. It sounds insane that a 150 meter tall lizard could fly, but it did happen in the 1971 movie Godzilla vs. Hedorah, so it's not an impossible notion - but it's highly unlikely considering this is supposed to be a more 'realistic' reboot.

So what else could it be? Well rumours have been flying (excuse the pun) around the internet the last few weeks that Mothra could be making an appearance in the movie. For those of you who don't know Mothra, it's a giant moth creature that's a recurring character in the Godzilla franchise of old.

Could we be seeing a huge moth fighting Godzilla? Who knows, but since director Gareth Edwards of Monsters (2010) fame is doing everything he can to shroud the titular character in secrecy, it's anyone's guess.

There are many more rumours about other monsters that might be appearing in the highly-anticipated blockbuster in some form like Rodan, Gigan, Varan, Centipor, Kumonga or even Destoroyah.

Which (if any) do you think will be in the movie when it's released May 16th? Watch the trailer below and have your say.
