Warpath like Sunspot will be appearing as a part of the Mutant resistance in the future part of the movie. Also not a lot has been released about his character besides that he has super strength, speed and, even flight. The bio below builds him as the 'ultimate mutant warrior'. Good synopsis actually considering the ups and downs this character has been through in the comics.
Warpath is a mutant who possesses superhuman physical ability in virtually all areas: He possesses superhuman strength, and resistance to injury. He repairs and regenerates damaged and destroyed tissue and recuperates from exhaustion and fatigue much faster than a normal human. Warpath’s senses, particularly sight, smell and hearing, are enhanced to levels beyond the capabilities of a normal human. He is able to see with perfect clarity at much greater distances than an ordinary human. He retains this same level of visual clarity, even in near-total darkness. His hearing is similarly heightened, enabling him to both clearly hear sounds that ordinary humans can’t and sounds that they can detect but at much greater distances.
Actor Booboo Stewart gained over 50 lbs of muscle to take on the role and seems genuinely excited to get a go at such a long running character.

"It's a dream come true, really. It's pretty incredible. I can't even explain the feeling that I have for this right now."
Warpath is the younger brother of John Proudstar who sacrificed himself during the revamp of the X-men series in Giant Sized X-men #1 back in the seventies where characters like Wolverine, Nightcrawler, Storm, Colossus were introduced and changed the mutant world forever. Strangely enough, all of the above characters will be involved in this project that Bryan singer is calling an 'Inbetweenquel" as it is a way of bridging the gap between the original trilogy and the First Class series set in the past.
After his brother's death, James Proudstar began as a member of the Hell Fire club's academy named the HELLIONS. He took on his brothers moniker, THUNDERBIRD. He did this to get at Professor X as he blamed him for his brother's death. In time, he got his chance to kill Xavier. However, his true nature overcame the situation and the hero WARPATH was born. He became a member of the X-men, as well as teaming up with Cable in the original X-Factor. Could he get a chance to do this in the movie? And just how much time will he get on the big screen? No telling. But I'm interested to seeing his built up physique and his excitement about the character in [X-Men: Days Of Future Past](movie:203942) !
