With the Terminator: Genesis ball due to start rolling next month, all eyes are on Arnie. Luckily for us, the star is not backward in coming forward with details about what fans can expect from the franchise's 5th foray onto the silver screen.
The former governor of California was interviewed by MTV recently, and he had a lot of juicy tidbits about Terminator: Genesis to hand out. In his slightly eccentric English, Schwarzenegger revealed that
Terminator' deals a lot with time travel, so there will be a younger T-800, and then [there is] what that model does later on when it gets reprogrammed, and who gets a hold of him. So it will be all kinds of interesting twists in the movie"
Schwarzenegger also went on to cover the perils of robot ageing by explaining how the movie will compensate for him looking three decades older than he did in the original. He told MTV that;
The way that the character is written, it's a machine underneath. It's this metal skeleton. But above that is human flesh. And the Terminator's flesh ages, just like any other human being's flesh. Maybe not as fast. But it definitely ages"
So, there you go! The sneaky wording Arnie uses to remind us just how well he is ageing in real life is my favourite bit of the entire interview; "Just like any other human being's flesh. Maybe not as fast". Classic!
The first in a stand-alone trilogy, Terminator 5 will also star Jason Clarke, Emilia Clarke, Jai Courtney and J.K. Simmons. It is set to be directed by Alan Taylor of Thor: The Dark World fame.
Terminator: Genesis will hit theaters on July 1st 2015.
Is anyone else super psyched to see Arnie take on the role he was born to play once more? I like a guy who keeps to his word, and he did always say he would be back!
