It has been confirmed: there will be a new Harry Potter movie trilogy, and it will be written by J. K. Rowling.

One of the things fans found most engaging about the Harry Potter series was the world it was set in - full of fantastic creatures, hidden passages and an entire world of magic hidden within our own. And, while these new films will not feature Harry himself, it will be the first return to that world since the final two-part film Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

The movie is called Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them and it is based on the fictional writings of Newt Scamander - a magizoologist who wrote on of the main textbooks that Harry and his friends studied at Hogwarts.

The film will be set 70 years before Harry's story - and even before the reign of Lord Voldemort - and so it may be a less dark world of magic than that of the later Harry Potter books and films. Dumdbledore, and perhaps some other of the older character from the series, are expected to appear.

So what do you think? Are you looking forward to this return to the world of Harry Potter? Do you think J. K. Rowling is right to want to add to her popular series? And which of the Fantastic Beasts are you most looking forward to seeing?
