As The Walking Dead season finale came to a gripping end, Rick Grimes fixed his gaze on the 'Termites' of Terminus and uttered the line: "They’re going to feel pretty stupid when they find out. That they’re screwing with the wrong people.”

Those of you who've read the comics will immediately recognize this as the same line delivered by Rick before he exacts bloody retribution on the Hunters, except in the comic he uses the much more industrial version: "they’re fucking with the wrong people.”

However, despite cast and crew on the show wanting to go down the sweary route, it was a no go. The reason? Here's showrunner Scott M. Gimple to explain:

Well, the Federal Communications Commission….families

Yes folks, apparently it's fine to show the potential rape of a minor, somebody's throat being ripped out and the cannibalization of people, but say the word fuck and you've taken it too far!

What a fucking joke.

Do you think [The Walking Dead](series:201193) should be allowed to drop f-bombs or is bad language the first step to the downfall of our civilization?

Should swearing be allowed on TWD?
