So, I have had this theory for a while on what Zack Snyder has in store for the future plot-lines of [Man of Steel](movie:15593). When the first movie premiered, I was one of those guys waiting in line for hours....in costume....I saw Man of Steel 8 times in its opening week. I had this thought at the end of each showing. I think that we will see Jor-El again...kind of. He created a sort of A.I. that is essentially a map of his own brain. So it seems Kryptonian, but we forget he is just a computer. Jor-El is dead. He's not coming back. However, I was focused on the fact that he is an A.I. and not a holo-recording like in the Donner movies. Then I remembered a little comic book history.

Is it possible that the Consciousness of Jor-El was not completely destroyed? Could it have been damaged by the termination of his program in the Fortress of Solitude? Zod said, "Tell me, you have Jor-El's memories; his conscience. Can you experience his pain? I will harvest the codex from your son's corpse, and I will rebuild Krypton atop his bones".

What if his programing could not handle that much raw emotion and shorted out all the feelings he had, so now the genetic breeding that made Jor-El a scientist is all that is left. Jor-El is says that he is still a product of krypton's failures. No matter how much free will he demonstrates, he is still bound by his position in the Growth Codex. Basically, all that you'll have is an scientist program running around without a reason for being. You saw what happened to Zod once he realized Krypton was not going to be revived. The same thing will happen to the corrupted, digitized consciousness of Jor-El. And some of you are already aware of one A.I. that Jor-El created bent on scientific conquest...

Do you think A.I. Jor-El could be Brainiac?
