"Frozen" continues to amaze.
The Disney juggernaut just passed "The Dark Knight Rises" and is now 9th on the All-Time World Box-Office Chart with $1.097 billion.
"Frozen" is likely not done either. It has been the #1 movie in Japan it's first four weeks there. Heck, it is still drawing viewers to theaters in the United States over four months after it debuted with a wide release in U.S. theaters - which is almost unheard of with today's front-loaded movie marketplace.
That kids are still dragging their parents to see Elsa and Anna on the big screen is all the more amazing when you consider "Frozen" was released on DVD almost three weeks ago!
"Frozen" is almost certainly not done climbing the charts, either.
The phenomenon needs only $12 million more to pass "Skyfall", $23 million more to pass "The Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King" and $27 million more to pass "Transformers: Dark Of The Moon".
That would put "Frozen" at 6th on the All-Time World Box-Office Chart, where it will in all likelihood end it's climb. "Iron Man 3" is next on the list and is an additional $100 million away.
