We might still be eagerly anticipating Transformers: Age of Extinction in June, but Paramount Pictures is keen to keep fans bubbling away at fever pitch.
A leaked promotional schedule has given us a peek into the inner workings of the studio, and while nothing is official yet, it looks like [Transformers 5](movie:1325503) is scheduled to drop in the second quarter of 2017.
The schedule might not be official, but it is viable. 2017 would represent a realistic time scale for the production of a new movie, and while the franchise is still wildly popular it is unlikely that Paramount will stop at 4 movies.
Transformers 5 would be in good company with a 2017 release. Although scheduling so far in advance is thin on the ground, we already have some idea of the blockbusters that are due to land.
[Justice League](movie:401267), [Star Wars: Episode VIII](movie:711868), [The Fantastic Four 2](movie:1284578), and a mysterious untitled Marvel project will also premier making 2017 a veritable smörgåsbord of blockbusters to sink your eager teeth into.
Is anyone else excited about the prospect of Transformers 5? I'm still super psyched for [Transformers: Age of Extinction](movie:206531) so I'm finding it hard to shift my focus all the way to 2017. That being said, It's great to know they will be continuing on with this often underrated franchise.
If Unicron doesn't show himself in Transformers: Age of Extinction maybe Transformers 5 could FINALLY be his moment in the spotlight? Do you guys have any thoughts of story lines that could be explored? Share your wisdom below!
When will we FINALLY see Unicron?
