A frightening new trailer for Deliver Us From Evil has been released online, and courtesy of JoBlo Movie Trailers, we have it for your viewing pleasure.

Scott Derrickson, the director The Exorcism Of Emily Rose and Sinister, or Master of Fear as I like to call him, is behind this one and the trailer does not disappoint. As you would expect from a religious horror film, it's filled with startling imagery and possession chit-chat. There's also a lot of descents into darkness to get your pulse racing and a freaky rolling owl. At least, I think it's an owl.

It's another film that is inspired by true events and this time, it's based on the book Beware The Night, written by NY police officer Ralph Sarchie. Sarchie is to be played by Eric Bana and the film will see him team up with a priest to tackle the supernatural.

I like the sound and look of this, plus the book has had very positive reviews and that's always a good sign. If you want more of a heads-up on what the film is going to offer or maybe you like sleeping with the light on, then Beware The Night may be worth picking up. But, for now, check out the trailer below and share your thoughts in the comments!

Deliver Us From Evil hits US cinemas on July 2nd 2014 and, for us in the UK, it's out on August 22nd 2014.
