For anyone still traumatized by the exceptional 2013 documentary Blackfish, about the institutional mistreatment of Killer Whales at the aquatic theme park Sea World, this film may serve as an antidote.
Dolphin Tale 2 centers on the Clearwater Marine Aquarium in Florida, whose aim is to rehabilitate injured animals and return them to the wild.
The first film, Dolphin Tale, had "Winter" as its focus, a dolphin whose rear fin was caught in a crab trap and had to be removed, before she managed to swim again with a prosthetic tail.
This time the animal in question is the baby dolphin "Hope", who was found orphaned in the shallows of a river trying to nurse after its mother beached herself and died. The film tracks the animals rehabilitation. Morgan Freeman stars.

Ok, it is pretty schmaltzy stuff, but at least the animals aren't traumatized serial killers kept in watery cages in which they don't belong. Although, that might make a better film.
But what do you think? Does Dolphin Tale 2 look like the most adorable thing you've ever seen, or does all the animal love make you feel like going out and finding a cat to kick? Write in with your thoughts below.
