Walking Dead Showrunner Scott Gimple is at it again: this time revealing that there could - just maybe - be secret celebrity zombies hiding in the show. What's more, he's even admitted that those rumors of the show heading to Washington DC could have some truth to them after all.
Interviewed on the AMC website, Gimple was asked if a lot of celebrities want to be zombies on the series. His response:
¨There are requests, but generally it doesn’t happen too much. It’s a very difficult job and it takes a certain amount of training and endurance. Put it this way: If there were celebrities that did sneak onto the show somehow, we wouldn’t tell you.¨
Notice that it generally ¨doesn't happen too much¨, as opposed to not at all. Gimple could just be messing with us, but it opens up a world of possibilities when it comes to decaying celeb-spotting - beyond former Pittsburgh Steelers receiver Hines Ward, who's already confirmed an appearance. Who'd like to spot a zombified Tom Cruise, Ellen DeGeneres or Oprah Winfrey?
Gimple went on to indirectly address the rumors that the show may leave Georgia and head to Washington DC at some point:
¨It’s entirely possible that they might, you never know. Right now they’ve found a couple different bases of operation. But they are on foot, so anything is possible.¨
What do you guys think? Could the show be heading to DC? And if there really are celebrities hiding in the show, who would you like to see? Let me know below!
