The MTV Awards are known the world over as the 'Oscars for People Who Can't Actually Win Oscars'. With this in mind, they're a pretty big deal for the multitude of actors who rarely appear in Oscar-bait.

Unfortunately, Henry Cavill's night at the MTV Awards was ruined not once, but twice by the MTV powers-that-be. Firstly, they did not announce Cavill winning the Best Hero Award during the 2014 Awards telecast, and secondly, when they later announced in on their website, they got the whole thing wrong. Check out the image below to see what I mean:

As you can see some, poor MTV intern made a rather huge mistake when posting the announcement online. It stated that Henry Cavill won the award for appearing as Clark Kent in the White House Down. That was one cameo I certainly missed.

However, this mistake does ask an interesting question. Could Channing Tatum, who plays the lead role in White House Down, actually have been the intended recipient of the MTV Award? Could some major screw up have messed up the entire category? Well, to be honest, it probably doesn't matter that much. It's not like anyone actually cares about the MTV Awards.

What do you think? Who deserved the award more? Henry Cavill or Channing Tatum?
