Peter Jackson's second installment in the J. R. R. Tolkien adaptation of The Hobbit, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, is now available in stores on Blu-ray and DVD. But some fans have been left disgruntled having discovered that several advertisements for the home release are nowhere to be found!

The videos embedded below, "Beorn the Shapeshifter" and "Laketown - Entering the World of Men", contained bits of behind-the-scenes video and interviews that many could not find of their newly-purchased DVDs and Blu-rays.

Warner Bros. has now clarified that these promo videos were made to promote the release, and do not include material from the discs themselves... Never mind, you can still watch them here!

While these bonus features pale in comparison to the vast amount of material given in the Extended Editions, it's more than most movies get. Instead of complaining to Warner Bros. about the lack of bonus features on the regular release, let's be thankful for all endless hours of footage on the Extended version!

Are you tempted by The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug Blu-ray? Or are you gonna wait for the ULTIMATE DIAMOND PLATINUM SUPER MEGA COLLECTOR'S EDITION when all 3 movies are finally done? Hit me up in the comment section below!

Don't forget - The Hobbit: There and Back Again arrives in theaters December 17, 2014.
