Not much is known about the plot of the upcoming Hasbro toy-inspired movie Monster Trucks, and it seems the studio is intent on keeping it that way.

It has been revealed, however, that Barry Pepper (Saving Private Ryan, True Grit) is going to be involved - though no details were released as to what role he would be playing.

And they are assembling quite a cast - we have already heard of the involvement of Thomas Lennon, Danny Glover, Jane Levy, Amy Ryan, Lucas Till, and Holt McCallany.

But how will this movie fare? After the success of The LEGO movie, studios might be excited about replicating that. But LEGO may have been a special case. Battleship, for example, provides a less attractive model.

The movie will combine live-action with animation, and we'll keep you posted as more details are revealed.

But what do you think? Is Monster Trucks going to flatten the competition? Or will it stall and fail to start? Write in with your thoughts below.
