You won't believe these amazing pictures.

What do Zelda, Pokemon, Street Fighter, The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Mario Kart and Batman all have in common?

Well, apart from being some of the most iconic and best loved video game, TV and movie characters of all time - they have now been made into some amazing traditional-looking Japanese art!

Almost all of these characters were either created in Japan, or directly drew upon Japanese myth and culture in their creation, so perhaps it shouldn't be surprising how convincing many of them look.

Except it is surprising.
