"I've come a long way..."

Ladies and gentlemen, we are on the homestretch.

It’s hard to imagine it’s been 11 years since Bryan Singer brought us his last foray into the X-Men universe, X2: X-Men United, arguably the best X-Men film and one of the finest comic book films ever made. That being the case, you'll forgive me for ABSOLUTELY LOSING MY MIND over the promise of a new Bryan Singer-led X-Men adventure; especially after seeing these two new and final trailers!

First off we have the Final Official US Trailer!

And last but not least (Thanks to CBM!) the equally exciting Final Official International Trailer!

I was mildly skeptical after the first X-Men: Days of Future Past trailer, amazed by the second, and after today's releases I'll be playing it on repeat from my tent at the theatre. Also, someone bring me a box of Kleenex, if I'd had any doubts that Days of Future Past was both a loving farewell to an era and the beginning of a brand new one, they've long since past.

The X-Men franchise has been uneven at best, bringing us some stellar adaptations, and some entries so bad they've made a whole movie just to retcon them.

They drove this poor fella straight to the bottle.
They drove this poor fella straight to the bottle.

But after watching these final trailers - comprised almost completely of never before seen content! - I have no doubt bringing Bryan Singer back was the right decision, and that the future is indeed bright for the students of Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters.
