Michael Fassbender was the last actor to step into Magneto's metal-bending helmet for X-Men: First Class. He is also reprising the role in Bryan Singer's upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past. But could we also see Fassy playing the titular character in a Magneto solo movie?

Once upon a time, there was a Magneto origin movie in the works. Apparently, David S. Goyer was wanted as the scribe, and the movie was to begin during the Holocaust and see Magneto hunting down Nazis. What came of the script was not a great deal, and it was shelved with elements being used in First Class.

In a recent interview, Fassbender mentioned a desire to get his own movie as Magneto, saying this:

Yeah, I think it will happen... I think it should happen. I would be interested for sure.

Well then, folks, let's hear it: Do you want a Magneto spin-off movie? And if so, is Fassy your main man for the role? Sound off in the comment section below

X-Men: Days Of Future Past arrives in theaters on May 23, 2014.
