"What exactly is a Brony?" I hear you cry.
THIS, ladies, gentlemen, and ponies - is a Brony:
As you may or may not be able to see (it's okay, eyes, you can calm down now) - there is a group of My Little Pony fans who dedicate their recreational time to dressing up as the ponies themselves, but because they're "bros", they call themselves "Bronies." Ha, geddit?
Hopefully in order to explain a little more about this phenomenon, Ashleigh Ball, who voices 'Rainbow Dash' and 'Applejack' from the popular animated series, My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic, has just narrated a documentary on the subject.
Here's the trailer, which might give us some...insight:
I mean, is it really any weirder watching grown men in their 40s at conventions and discussing My Little Pony theories, relationships, and everything in between than watching grown men in their 40s doing the same but at a comic book fan convention? You decide!
Either way, will you be watching A Brony Tale documentary? Can you relate to being THIS passionate about something you love? Hit me up in the comment section below!
A Brony Tale premieres April 26 at the Tribeca Film Festival.
