Nocturnal Fears. Although I never saw the 1st one, I heard it was great, this is the premise that would have been used for the 2nd one. Has evil aliens come to earth and abduct the children. Then, E.T. would help his friends escape and return home.
Forrest Gump 2:
Gump and Co. I loved Forrest Gump, an amazing movie. A 2nd one would have been debatable. The proposed "Forrest Gump 2" planned to follow Forrest as he went through historical events of the 80s and 90s. Plans fell through when Tom Hanks said a sequel would just be a repeat
The Breakfast Club 2:
I never saw the 1st one, don't know if this would have been good or not, probably, but you never know. The sequel would revisit the friends 10 years later. Plans reportedly fell through when director John Hughes and star Judd Nelson had a public fallout.
Gladiator was an amazing movie but(SPOILER ALERT)
Maximus dies, so i'm not sure how a sequel would have worked. There were two sequels. According to Shortlist.com, Maximus "would be fighting Roman gods in the afterlife." Lack of interest by all parties cancelled plans.
Kill Bill No. 3:
The Final Cut. Never even heard of Kill Bill. The third entry of the Bride series, promised more epic fight scenes and gore. The sequel's premise follows Fatale, O-Ren Ishii's (Lucy Liu) lawyer as she raises Vernita Green's (Vivica Fox) daughter to seek revenge on the Bride.
Napoleon Dynamite 2:
I liked the 1st one, its was funny, I would've seen a 2nd. Although talks for a film sequel persisted for a time and the original actors wanted to return, the project could not get off the ground.
Elf was, well I don't know what to say about it. When approached for a sequel for the popular film, Will Ferrell's answer was a vehement no.
Ferris Bueller 2:
Another Day Off. Didn't see the 1st, don't know how the 2nd would've turned out. Like "The Breakfast Club," director Hughes wanted to revisit Ferris Bueller later in life. Fans of the movie almost had their wish when a 2012 teaser trailer had Broderick saying, "How can I handle work on a day like today?"
The Golden Compass 2:
The Subtle Knife. I was not interested in the 1st, it looked horrible, I don't know how it turned out, but i'm happy a 2nd wasn't made. While the book series did well, its success couldn't translate to film. Diverting from the book plot and taking other liberties soured the film with the book's fans and shut down plans for sequels.
Who Framed Roger Rabbit 2:
What? I don't even know what kind of a name that is for a movie. The now defunct sequel, "Roger Rabbit 2: Toon Platoon" planned to have Roger Rabbit in a war story along with classic heroes from animation's golden age.
Yea, I'm glad some of these weren't made. Would you have liked to see one of these made? Comment below, let me know.
