Today I'm going to be looking at horror movies which are celebrating their 10th, 20th, 30th, and even 40th anniversaries this year. Movies which all horror fans should have seen at least once, and the majority of people have at least heard of.

10th Anniversary, Recent classics from 2004

Saw

Van Helsing

The Grudge

And last but not least, Shaun Of The Dead.

20th Anniversary, Great movies from 1994.

Wes Cravens New Nightmare

In The Mouth Of Madness

The Crow

Now not all people would say this is strictly horror, and they're right. It's more on the action thriller side of things, but it's a personal favourite, which is why I've added it anyway.

30th Anniversary, Classics from 1984

A Nightmare On Elm Street

Children Of The Corn

Gremlins

Silent Night, Deadly Night

Although extremely controversial at the time, Silent Night, Deadly Night became very popular over time and is now named one of the best Christmas horror movies ever made.

40th Anniversary, Old but good even now. Horror classics from the year 1974.

Another Christmas movie, Black Christmas.

Young Frankenstein

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre

Still chilling by today's standards, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is one of the best horror movies ever made. Remade in 2003, and having spawned several sequels, it is also one of the most successful horror films ever made. And guess what? In celebration of its 40th anniversary, it is being digitally remastered and restored and is coming back to cinemas sometime this year!
