We're used to seeing glossy, air brushed concept art for upcoming movies, but Sin City: A Dame to Kill For does things slightly differently.

Creator Frank Miller recently shared a batch of concept art images which look like they were ripped straight from the pages of one of his graphic novels. Feast your eyes on his creations below:

As this concept art proves, Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller's Sin City series is perhaps the only movie franchise which has accurately caught both the visual and thematic styles of gritty, hard-boiled graphic novels.

After a rather lengthy delay, Sin City: A Dame To Fill For should be entering theaters on August 22, 2014.
