Deadline reports that Underdog writer, Adam Rifkin, has gained the TV and film rights to produce a screenplay for marshmallow Peeps.

The plot will take place the night before a Peeps diorama contest. A Peep gets misplaced and must go on an adventure through different-themed diorama fantasy lands and get to his rightful home before the contest's judging begins.

Some of you may be shaking your head about this project and rightfully so.

Hollywood is already adapting novels, comics and video games into films. Are we about to see an era of films featuring our favorite sweet treats?
