Ever aware of their (and Tolkien's) huge fanbase, Weta Digital has decided to treat fans to an entertaining VFX video showcasing some of the details of The Desolation of Smaug's production.
In this newly-released video, the mysterious layers of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug's construction are peeled back, giving us an idea of exactly how much work went into the making of the movie. It's visual effects wizardry!
Mind-blowing, as always. Out of hundreds of studios around the world Weta still makes the best shots in any production.
