I'm just a nerdy guy from a little town in Utah who loves movies, superheroes, and writing.

After the confirmation of Lex Luthor being involved in [Batman vs. Superman](movie:711870), I was a little skeptical and hoping that he wouldn't be the only villain in the movie. Though I believe Jesse Eisenberg is a great actor, I really don't want a Superman villain like Luthor to head up the greatest team-up movie in recent years (don't start giving me troll comments about The Avengers). Of course there's been rumors of a Batman villain being cast as well, but who could not only go toe-to-toe with the Dark Knight, but the Man of Steel as well? Here are my top three Batman villains that could team with Luthor to take down the duo.

1. Slade Wilson a.k.a. Deathstroke

In one of my previous articles, I wrote that Deathstroke was my number one villain that I wanted to see in a DC live action film, and that still stands. For those of you who don't know about him, here's the highlights. Slade Wilson enlisted in the United States Army when he was a teenager, and, after serving in Korea, he was promoted quickly and he trained to achieve physical perfection in both his body and his skills. After being selected for a secret military program, he was imbued with superhuman abilities, including an increased intelligence, super strength, and regenerative healing. After this he became a mercenary, quickly mastering all forms of warfare, hand-to-hand combat, marksmanship, and strategy. Though he's mainly known as the antagonist to the Teen Titans, he's encountered Batman on numerous occasions. To people who don't know much about comics, I refer to him as the "Anti-Batman", or basically the evil version of the Dark Knight. Deathstroke is one of my favorite Batman villains and I'd love for him to be in this film, because while Luthor handles Supes, Deathstroke could take the Bat. Don't want to change his recent casting either, as I would love for Manu Bennett to be him again on the big screen.

2. Roman Sionis a.k.a. Black Mask

Recently featured as one of the antagonists in Batman: Arkham Origins (2013), and seen in some DC animated movies, Black Mask is known as the crime lord of Gotham City. Before that, Sionis suffered from abandonment and anger issues, mostly directed at his parents. He killed them both when he lit his family estate on fire, and inherited his father's company. After losing it all in a bailout by Bruce Wayne, Sionis went to his parents' crypt and stole a piece of his father's ebony casket, crafting a mask that would hide his identity and remake him as the crime lord known as Black Mask. After an encounter with Batman and Robin, Black Mask tried to burn his house down again to "rid the world of Roman Sionis", and ironically got caught in the flames, which literally burned the mask into his face, making it impossible to remove. Black Mask is a skilled hand-to-hand combatant and has extensive underworld connections, which would make him a great asset to Luthor if Lex wanted to branch into Gotham, or if Black Mask wanted to branch into Metropolis. I'd love to see the two team together to rule the crime in both cities, with only two people standing in their way. My personal choice to portray him would be Frank Grillo, even if he is tied up in the Captain America films right now. He's a great actor, and a great villain. He has the speed to be a hand-to-hand fighter and the presence to be a great Black Mask.

3. Floyd Lawton a.k.a. Deadshot

Most recently depicted as a secondary villain in the Batman: Arkham video game series, and prominently in the CW series, [Arrow](series:720988), Deadshot is a villain who, although has no special powers, is known as the world's deadliest assassin because he "never misses". He is the world's greatest marksman, and his cybernetic right eye only improves his accuracy and skill. Personally, I'd like Deadshot in the movie for two reasons: he's never been in a live-action movie, and combining Luthor's intelligence and Deadshot's skill would be a deadly combo for not only Batman, but Superman as well. The only problem is that I'm not sure if DC would be worried about continuity issues, since Deadshot is a big villain in Arrow. Though he's my least preferred of the three villains, I still have to cast him and I choose Timothy Olyphant.

I think he's a great actor and personally one of my favorite underrated people in movies and TV. I love his acting, but I love his evil acting the most. He's been a good villain before, and I'd love to see him as Deadshot. No offense to Michael Rowe, because I think he's done awesome as a live-action Deadshot, but Olyphant is one who I've always envisioned in the role.

The reason I didn't pick any "super-villains" is because they're all that's been featured in the big screen adaptations of these two heroes, and I'm getting rather tired of them, personally. These three are all great villains who haven't been in a movie yet, and if DC wants to keep their films "rooted in reality", then these are the ones to go with. What do you guys think? See someone you want in the movie? Want someone else? Share your opinions in the comments!
