Game of Thrones star Kit Harington has featured on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine, joining the likes of Barack Obama, Jimi Hendrix, and controversially, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev in doing so.
And in the interview with the magazine Harington gave his own insights into why many have found his character one of the most appealing in all of Westeros:
The show started when the economy was very bad. People were looking for a hero trying to make his way through a dark world that they didn't understand. That's Jon Snow.

Harington also touched on what he looks forward to about the end of the series - something fans of the show will find less to agree with him on, perhaps, even if that is still several years away.
I told my agent, 'No more swords, no more horses,' You [don't want to] get stuck in things. And maybe I can cut my fucking hair.
