With Avengers: Age of Ultron due out next year about this time, every Marvel fan alive is hanging on every tweet and quote from the stars, producers, writers and directors of the project. So when Joss Whedon of all people opens up about the main villain, we're all ears.

"Last time, I had all of Earth's Mightiest Heroes versus one British character actor, and I needed more conflict. I'm having a blast with Ultron. He's not a creature of logic -- he's a robot who's genuinely disturbed. We're finding out what makes him menacing and at the same time endearing and funny and strange and unexpected, and everything a robot never is." Joss stated in the current EMPIRE magazine installment

Ultron is a rather unique villain indeed. Joss has him down to a tee, actually. can't be reasoned with. There are no philosophical outs here; no talking your way out of it. Ultron won't be having an emotional breakthrough at the end of the movie and see the error of his ways. Unlike other characters in the next film, he won't be joining the good guys and making nice. No, Ultron is a driven psychopath with only one goal; the destruction of the human race!

Wedon also wants to make it very clear that Age Of Ultron will be a 'different' movie than the first; a different feel.

"This, palette-wise, is very different. I'm trying to make a different film. Because why would you make one movie twice? That seems weird"

I truly expect this episode in the Avengers movie universe to be truly one of a kind with plenty of action between whatever Baron Von Strucker has planned with the 'Miracle' twins to the ravaging of cities by an army of 'robots' to what ever behind the scenes action we get. No, this is going to be an awesome ride!
