Director Jon M. Chu (G.I. Joe: Retaliation) does not play games when he's making a new movie! He's on the move with Jem and the Holograms movie that he announced a month ago, right?! Today we finally take a look at the official casting of the film and a promo poster to share with all of Moviepilot. The cast includes Nashville actress Aubrey Peeples as lead character Jem, Disney's A.N.T. Farm's Stefanie Scott as Jem's sister - Kimber, Pretty Little Liars actress Aurora Perrineau will play Shana and The Fosters' Hayley Kiyoko will play the role of Aja!

I've never heard of or watched the show at all but for some reason I'm pretty excited about this film. I think the whole idea sounds unique and interesting to me but we'll see how the film turns out.

Centers on an orphaned teenage girl who becomes an online recording sensation. She and her sisters embark on a music-driven scavenger hunt -- one that sends them on an adventure across Los Angeles in an attempt to unlock a final message left by her father.
