The BFG hasn’t had a single film adaptation done since 1989, and that was an animated classic. Since I first read the book (please avoid the censored audiobook), I thought it was baffling a live-action film hadn’t been made. Well, now it is, with Spielberg directing. This is big news, considering Spielberg hasn’t directed anything since 2012, and The BFG is set for a 2016 release. Oh, and Spielberg is pretty well known for making amazing stuff.

What are your hopes and dreams for the BFG? I am hoping for minimal CGI, and I trust Spielberg to do that. Who would you like to see casted?
