Does any director run a tighter ship than J.J. Abrams?
It might feel like anything boasting a pulse has been linked to his upcoming Star Wars: episode VII but despite that the news stream from fort Abrams has remained remarkably low, with little, if anything, having thus far been confirmed.
We know R2 will be back in the fold and we're pretty sure Han, Luke and Leia will be shuffling around there too, but, other than that, absolutely nothing seems certain. The rumors have ranged from the fairly fathomable (Cumberbatch, Nyong'o) to the farther fetched (Ryan Gosling, Adam Driver) and even to the slightly bizarre (we're looking at you AT-AT foot), but now a rumor is doing the rounds which speculates that this coming weekend, the force May be with us after all. So if you happen to be wasting away from this information drought you might just want to batten down the hatches.
A wildfire rumor is sweeping the internet which suggests that this Sunday, the Star Wars: Episode VII casting will finally be revealed. Comicbook.com have taken a look at whether or not this one is to be believed.
Disney seems to be making a big deal out of May 4th this year. Lucasfilm is teaming up with TV shows like The Big Bang Theory and The Goldbergs for special Star Wars Day episodes, and Disney Stores are celebrating May 4th with in-store events and exclusive Star Wars merchandise.
They go on to report that Peter Mayhew has pulled out of some upcoming conventions and that, with filming already under way, the crew will presumably be on set very soon. Our hopes are high for this one but, as ever, we'll have to just wait and see.

Star Wars: Episode VII opens December 18th, 2015 but for the weekend that's coming, May the 4th be with you all.
