Filming has begun in the Abu Dhabi desert for Star Wars: Episode 7 and the casting details are set to be announced on May the 4th (geddit?) but the big question that many fans will be asking is: how will it look?

Well, though we can't give you any real update on that front, it might be worth looking back into the past and seeing how different the original Star Wars could have been, if it had stayed closer to the concept art.

A number of sketches have been released showing the Star Wars universe as it was first imaged.

Check out the pictures here - they are both very familiar, and eerily different:

R2D2 as a helicopter/trashcan

So what do you think about seeing these images? Do you think any of these are an improvement on the movie version? And how much are you looking forward to Episode 7?
