Despite the original reports than Stan Lee won't cameo for Guardians of the Galaxy, the man behind Marvel confirmed that he will indeed be cameoing in the film and in fact has already completed filming for it.
At the Chicago expo C2E2, Stan Lee was asked if he would be cameoing in the film like he's known for doing in nearly every Marvel-based film, and his response took us by surprise considering older reports:
“I did, already. I can’t tell you what it is, but I can tell you I do not understand what it was or why I did it. It has me with a girl — a very pretty girl — that’s all I can tell you.”
We've always wondered if maybe one of Stan's cameos would end up evolving into a substantial role, but we know Marvel films are good enough as they are. Could not being able to tell us his mystery role mean that he's finally secured an important character, or is it just standard protocol to not reveal what he's doing in the film?
If only Stan Lee had been casted as Thanos (wait a few moments for that mental image to pop into your head, and then you may commence laughing.)
