We're approaching the end of April so here are the biggest movies that you should check out in May 2014!

So yes I have already seen The Amazing Spider-Man 2 three times because I live in the UK and for all of you guys in the States, I implore you to go and see this movie when it releases on the 2nd May! Spider-Man faces his greatest threat yet as Electro and Green Goblin team up to test Spider-Man's limits! The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is directed by Marc Webb (The Amazing Spider-Man) and stars Andrew Garfield (The Social Network), Emma Stone (Superbad) and Jamie Foxx (Django Unchained).

Why you should be excited: The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is a funny, action packed and entertaining superhero movie that puts you on the edge of your seat!

Neighbors - May 9th! 
Neighbors - May 9th! 

My most anticipated comedy of the year! Seth Rogen and Zac Efron go head to head in a rivalry that goes way too far! A young couple suffering from arrested development are forced to live next to a fraternity house after the birth of their new born baby. Neighbors is directed by Nick Stoller (Forgetting Sarah Marshall) and stars Seth Rogen (This Is The End), Zac Efron (17 Again) and Rose Byrne (Insidious).

Why you should be excited: Seth Rogen is one of the biggest names in comedy right now, he delivers every time! Zac Efron finally gets to show off his potential for comedy in which will most likely be the years biggest comedy!

Chef - May 9th! 
Chef - May 9th! 

Chef is the story of a chef who suddenly quits his job at one of the best restaurants in L.A after he refuses to compromise his creative integrity for its controlling owner. He starts his own food truck with his wife, his best friend and his son. Taking to the road Carl goes back to his roots to reignite his passion for the kitchen. Chef is directed by Jon Favreau (Iron Man) and stars Jon Favreau (Iron Man 3), Scarlett Johansson (Captain America: The Winter Soldier) and Robert Downey Jr. (The Avengers).

Why you should be excited: Chef is the latest film from director Jon Favreau who leaves his blockbusters behind to direct a more personal film about a man rediscovering his passion. It has a stellar cast and will ultimately leave you watering at the mouth.

This May we see the return of cinemas most iconic monster! Godzilla returns to the big screen to spark terror into the hearts of the world as he destroys anything that stands in his way. After humanity attempts to destroy Godzilla with a nuclear bomb, he comes back more powerful than ever to seek his revenge.

Godzilla is directed by Gareth Edwards (Monsters) and stars Aaron Taylor Johnson (Kick-Ass 2), Elizabeth Olsen (Oldboy) and Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad).

Why you should be excited: Godzilla is one of the biggest movies of the summer, it sees the return of the most iconic monster in movie history! If you don't see this movie, you'll regret it!

This is my most anticipated movie of the year! In a post apocalyptic world, Mutants must face extinction as Sentinels hunt them down. Wolverine must travel back in time to reunite Magneto and Professor X to stop the apocalyptic future from ever happening! X-Men Days Of Future Past is directed by Bryan Singer (X-Men 2) and stars High Jackman (The Wolverine), Michael Fassbender (X-Men First Class) and James McCavoy (X-Men First Class).

Why you should be excited: X-Men Days Of Future Past unites the original cast of X-MEN and the new cast of X-MEN FIRST CLASS in a time travelling action film that will be one of the biggest movies of the year, and the biggest movie in the X-MEN saga!

Maleficent is the story of Sleeping Beauty but with a new twist! Maleficent explores the untold story of Disney's most iconic villain and the elements of betrayal ultimately turn her heart into pure stone. Maleficent is directed by Robert Stromberg and stars Angeline Jolie (Wanted), Elle Fanning (Super 8) and Sharlto Copley (District 9).

Why you should be excited: Angeline Jolie returns to the big screen as the most iconic Disney villain. The film will be a fantastical action movie that has you rooting for the bad guy!

A Million Ways To Die In The West is the newest comedy from Seth McFarlane which features his unique style of comedy! When a mysterious and beautiful woman rides into town, she helps him find his courage and they begin to fall in love. But when her husband, a notorious outlaw, arrives seeking revenge, the farmer must put his new found courage to the test. The film is directed by Seth McFarlane (Ted) and stars Seth McFarlane (Ted), Charlize Theron (Prometheus) and Liam Neeson (Taken).

Why you should be excited: Seth McFarlane's unique sense of comedy is back and he's brought an all star cast with him.
