Is there anyone that isn't being pegged as a potential cast member in Episode VII? Everyone and their sci-fi loving aunt has been given a mention here and there and now another new name has been put on the list in the form of Inside Llewyn Davis' Oscar Isaac.
As tradition with everyone else who has been connected to the most in demand sequel this side of the Alderaan system, there's no confirmation of Isaac's involvement or the specific role he may or may not be down for. Instead, Deadline apparently have a number of sources that suggest he's been approached for a role. He could be a Jedi, he could have beaten the previously rumoured Adam Driver to a role of big bad, he could be a stormtrooper's wardrobe consultant. It really is anyone's guess.
Should there be any truth to it, you can expect it to be revealed some time on Star Wars Day, May 4th, along with further confirmation of who's in and who's out of Star Wars Episode VII: The Something Something Or Other. So far what we do know (and has been one of the worst kept secrets in the world) is that Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford will be back to reprise their roles as Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker and Han Solo. In fact, it just so happens that there's also a rumour concerning the aforementioned smuggler and rogue, suggesting that Han will actually be playing a 'gigantic' part in the new trilogy rather than just being by Luke's side to shoot first, or last, or whenever it damn well pleases him.
Expect full on confirmation for Episode VII to arrive by the end of this week where director J.J. Abrams and his band of rebels talk Jedi's, Jawas and anything else that might be appearing when Star Wars returns to our galaxy December 18, 2015.
