George Clooney has been one of the most famous bachelors for many years, but it seems that is now about to change as the 52-year-old has reportedly proposed to his human rights lawyer girlfriend: Amal Alamuddin.
In fact, he remained single for so long that there even rumors about his sexuality - something the actor did little to discourage, saying:
I'm not going to let anyone make it seem like being gay is a bad thing. Who does it hurt if someone thinks I'm gay?
Earlier this year, at the Oscars, Clooney's reputation was mocked by the host Tina Fey, who described the film Gravity as:
the story of how George Clooney would rather float away into space and die than spend one more minute with a woman his own age.
Clooney must be extremely serious about the relationship, as before it has begun it is already going to cost him quite a lot of money.

Apparently, he had long-running bets with actresses such as Nicole Kidman, Sandra Bullock and Michelle Pfeiffer that he would never marry - and now is going to lose over $100,000 over his decision!
