I will say that this was one of the films I was most looking forward to. I myself am a Johnny Depp fan and thought the whole idea was interesting.

Now there are many things I could complain about with this movie, but the main thing I would like to talk about is the ending. Or maybe just the fact that the good guys are bad guys and the bad guys are the good guys.

Now I know that sounds annoying, but really? Can we please talk about the fact that this terrorist organization called R.I.F.T, with the help of Morgan Freeman and the government no less; decided it would be a good idea to cause a world wide black out. Now imagine how many people just died, keep in mind that when this black out occurred it was in the middle of the night; meaning everyone who was driving, in a hospital, at home playing with fire...whatever, is now most likely dead. Hurrah! the "good guys" just saved destroying all technology and causing a world wide black out that probably killed millions of people.. and this all happened because Will Caster (Johnny Depp) wanted to make the world a better place...really?

So what I am basically trying to say is that Will Caster was the good guy all along; for he was able to completely better the planet, buy healing people, stopping pollution....etc. And because the other characters along with R.I.F.T were scared and thought he was just a dangerous, over powered AI; they created a virus and killed him. Completely preventing their chances to have a healthy, perfect world. Instead the world regresses and people are now in worse condition then before.

Being afraid of the unknown, or that in which you can not control. This is the human flaw.

Do you think R.I.F.T and the others were right in their decision to destroy Will?
