Fans of Monsters, Gareth Williams' 2010 atmospheric indie success story, will be happy to know that the film's sequel, Monsters: Dark Continent is still on track, even with Williams now directing Godzilla.

Along with the teaser trailer, which you can check out below, we now have three images to whet our appetite for the film - which sees two soldiers head into brand new monster territory in the Middle East.

All of which make the film look like something of a departure from the original - new director Tom Green evidently bringing his own approach - and one in which we might well see more of the monsters than before. Whether this is a good thing - much of the effectiveness of the excellent Monsters lay in what it didn't show - is another question entirely.

What do you guys think? Will Monsters: Dark Continent match up to its predecessor? Let me know below
